Operations Manager - Manufacturing - Base Salary to 135k/year - Phoenix, AZ
Our client is a well established architectural millwork and cabinet company in Phoenix, AZ. They're currently looking for an Operations Manager for their team.
The Operations Manager will lead, oversee, and optimize the operations of a manufacturing facility. Manage manpower, technology, equipment, and raw materials to ensure the production of high-quality, cost-effective, and market-ready products.
Responsibilities:
Supervise daily manufacturing operations to meet product specifications and quality standards.
Track and analyze key production metrics, including milled boxes, assembled boxes, drawer boxes, and cabinetry doors.
Implement and oversee a comprehensive master production schedule.
Conduct daily quality control inspections to ensure compliance with internal and industry standards.
Optimize work-in-process, finished goods, and raw material inventory to improve plant efficiency and inventory turnover.
Develop and implement strategies for cost reduction, increased efficiency, and enhanced product quality.
Integrate Six Sigma and lean manufacturing principles across operations to streamline processes and reduce waste.
Develop and manage shipping schedules to ensure timely and accurate deliveries for installation.
Coordinate production timelines with procurement and logistics teams to prevent delays and bottlenecks.
Hold key employees accountable for production performance, deadlines, and safety compliance.
Recruit, train, and develop employees to ensure a skilled and engaged workforce.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement and teamwork.
Ensure full compliance with workplace safety regulations, including OSHA and EPA requirements.
Implement and maintain production reporting systems to track cost, quality, scheduling, and inventory levels.
Regularly review and update safety protocols to protect employees and assets.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Manufacturing Operations, Engineering, or a related field.
10+ years in a manufacturing leadership role, preferably in wood products or cabinetry manufacturing.
Proven leadership in manufacturing operations, material specifications, and team management.
Experience implementing Six Sigma and lean manufacturing principles.
Strong background in production scheduling, cost control, and efficiency optimization.
Compensation:
Base salary to 135k/year
