Position Summary:
We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Operations Manager to support eight bakery managers across the Kansas City metro area at a growing franchisee in an exciting, joy-filled brand. This role focuses on enhancing operational efficiency and driving sales growth. The Operations Manager will provide guidance, training, and strategic support while upholding brand standards and fostering a positive team culture.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide support and guidance to bakery managers to enhance operational efficiency and overall business performance. Clear understanding that this role is to support the bakery managers, not manage the bakeries.
Collaborate with bakery managers to develop and implement standardized operating procedures to drive sales growth and optimize cost management across all locations.
Serve as the go-to expert on operational brand standards, staying informed on operational changes and policies.
Assist in tracking P&Ls and analyzing KPIs, identifying areas for improvement and providing strategic support.
Drive training and development initiatives, including assisting in the creation of training processes and operational handbooks. Assist with hiring and onboarding of key bakery team members.
Serve as a backup manager in the event a bakery manager takes leave or vacation.
Assist with planning and execution of off-site events as needed.
Address guest escalations and ensure exceptional customer service.
Act as the first point of contact for maintenance issues at bakeries locations, coordinating communication and resolution efforts to ensure efficient, cost-effective solutions with minimal disruption to operations.

Qualifications:
5+ years of management experience in retail, food service, or hospitality industries.
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to analyze financial and operational data to drive decision-making.
Experience in staff training, performance management, and team development.
Ability to coach and develop operational goals.
Highly organized, with integrity and strong team-building skills.
Ability to travel between bakery locations. Expectation is 3-4 days per week will be spent in bakeries.
Knowledge of food safety, labor laws, and industry best practices preferred.
Passion for delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining high-quality standards.
This role requires completion of a three-and-a-half-week training program in Dallas in April 2025.
Compensation and Benefits:
Annual salary of $65,000-75,000 (based on experience) plus a bonus target of ~15% of base annual salary based on bakery performance
