Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join our team. In this role, you will optimize the operational systems and processes of the company, maximizing efficiency and profitability while remaining compliant with all legal and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate has an analytical mind, a deep understanding of business and financial principles, and a proven track record as an Operations Manager. This role will be full time in San Diego. Our business environment is fast paced and you will be managing multiple projects at once, so we are looking for somebody with excellent time management and work ethic. This job opening is primarily to assist in transitioning out one of the co-owners and releasing her of her current tasks. Work hours can be flexible, however we are looking for somebody to fill a full time position and somebody who is available most Saturday nights and Sundays. Please see below for more specifications.
Responsibilities
Oversee all operational aspects of the business
Fill in for office staff when needed; responding to sales emails and phone calls from clients
Implement systems, processes, and procedures to increase efficiency and profitability
Monitor and promote online presence; updating google local listings, yelp, and social media frequently
Ensure the organization is compliant with all applicable legal and regulatory requirements
Renew vehicle registrations, CARB compliance, and ensure that all employees have up to date paperwork
Assist owner in any/all operational tasks
Stay up to date on all mail, file necessary paperwork, and ensure no bills are slipping through the cracks
Act as the hiring manager and vet any potential new drivers for the company
Qualifications
Previous experience as an Operations Manager/Assistant is preferred
Bachelor’s degree in Business or experience for 2+ years in a related field
MUST have weekend availability
Deep understanding of organizational effectiveness and operations management
Excellent verbal and written communication
Knowledge of sound business practices and financial principles
Knowledge of the transportation/charter/bus industry also beneficial
Class B license with air brakes would be ideal and would receive additional compensation
