The Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing the daily operations of the company, including the departments of Estimating, Construction Project Management, Office Administration, and Marketing. This individual will work closely with department heads to ensure that operational goals align with the company's strategic objectives while driving efficiency and growth

    Responsibilities:

    • Ability to manage and build high performing teams
    • Provide leadership and strategic direction across all departments to ensure alignment with company goals
    • Develop and implement operational strategies to support business growth and operational efficiency
    • Establish and monitor performance goals, ensuring departments meet their targets
    • Oversee budgeting and financial performance across departments
    • Monitor project costs, forecasting, and financial reporting to ensure profitability
    • Review job profitably and analyze financial reports pertaining to the mitigation department
    • Identify cost-saving opportunities and drive financial efficiency
    • Ensure seamless coordination between estimating, construction project management, office administration and marketing teams
    • Streamline processes to improve workflow, quality and productivity
    • Establish policies and procedures to maintain compliance with industry regulations and company standards
    • Knowledge of Xactimate is a benefit to negotiating
    • Estimating-ensure accurate project cost estimates and oversee bid proposals
    • Communicate and negotiate with insurance professionals
    • Act as the primary point of contact for key clients and stakeholders
    • Drive client satisfaction and explore new business opportunities
    • Project Management-Monitor construction progress, resource allocation, and on-time delivery of projects
    • Ability to communicate with a variety of customers
    • Plan, organize and manage warehouses, vehicles, inventory, crews and subcontractors
    • Establish and maintain client relationships
    • Office Administration-Oversee payroll, HR, procurement and administrative operations
    • Responsible for leading, mentoring, coaching, and developing department head and employees, recognizing strengths and weaknesses, and developing their skills and abilities
    • Perform exit interviews
    • Conduct performance evaluations of all direct reports and implement employee development programs
    • Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork and continuous improvement
    • Marketing-guide marketing efforts to expand business opportunities and build brand presence
    • Identify and mitigate potential operational risks
    • Ensure compliance with legal, safety and environmental regulations
    • Attend all appropriate company meetings
    • Additional duties required as needed

    Requirements:

    • 5+ years’ experience in a management role, preferably in the restoration industry
    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Construction Management, or a related field (preferred)
    • Xactimate experience is a plus
    • IICRC, WRT/ASD and MRT are preferred
    • Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting and cost control
    • Excellent leadership, problem-solving and decision-making skills
    • Proven ability to build, motivate and maintain a high performing team
    • Proven ability to manage multiple departments and large-scale operations
    • Knowledge of construction industry regulations, compliance and best practices
    • Proficiency in project management software and operational tools
    • Organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize a variety of tasks/projects
    • Self-motivated, responsible, and accountable. Identifies own learning needs and seeks appropriate steps to continue continual self-development
