    Wylander Solutions, a recruiting company specializing in the disaster restoration industry, is seeking an Operations Manager for a disaster restoration company located in Mt Airy, MD.

     

    Operations Manager Compensation and Benefits:

    • Salary: $75,000-$100,000 (DOE)
    • Eligible for bonus plan

    They seek a candidate with great ethics, values, high energy, and excellent problem-solving skills. The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the project cycle for mitigation and remediation projects for the department by providing training, direction, and coordination of all field activities related to the technician and any coordinated subcontracts. This person may assist in managing the project schedule throughout the project lifecycle and securing any unique materials, permits, and/or equipment required to complete the project. We are seeking a candidate who can help continue the department's growth.

    Responsibilities:

    • Ability to manage and build high-performing teams
    • Review job profitably and analyze financial reports pertaining to the mitigation department
    • Knowledge of Xactimate a benefit to negotiate. Communicate and negotiate with insurance professionals
    • Ability to communicate with a variety of customers
    • Plan, organize, and manage warehouses, vehicles, inventory, crews and subcontractors
    • Establish and maintain client relationships
    • Responsible for mentoring, coaching, and developing employees, recognizing strengths and weaknesses, and developing their skills and abilities
    • Perform exit interviews
    • Conduct performance evaluation of all direct reports
    • Ability to do remediation/mitigation work during surge period if needed
    • Willingness to learn industry technology
    • Attend all appropriate company meetings
    • Additional duties required as needed

    Requirements:

    • 3-5 years experience in a management role
    • Xactimate experience is a plus
    • IICRC, WRT/ASD, and MRT are preferred
    • Proven ability to build, motivate and maintain a high-performing team
    • Organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize a variety of tasks/projects
    • Working knowledge of moisture reading report tools and Encircle is a plus
    • Self-motivated, responsible, and accountable. Identifies own learning needs and seeks appropriate steps to continue continual self-development
