We are currently seeking an experienced and dynamic Operations Manager to join our team in Saint Louis, Missouri.     Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for the company’s operations. You'll lead a team of production personnel, ensuring they have the resources and training necessary to achieve optimal output. Your duties will encompass a wide range of areas, including:

    • Manage All Factory Staff: Establish job descriptions for all positions; conduct regular performance reviews; always optimize staffing; make hiring/termination decisions in conjunction with Company President.
    • Production Planning and Scheduling: Develop and implement production plans that meet customer deadlines, optimize resource allocation, and minimize downtime.
    • Inventory Management: Oversee inventory control processes to ensure a steady supply of materials without excessive stockholding.
    • Quality Control: Implement and maintain a robust quality assurance program to guarantee products meet all specifications.
    • Cost Control: Identify and implement cost-saving measures throughout the production process, while maintaining quality and efficiency.
    • Safety Management: Enforce safety protocols and create a safe working environment for all employees.
    • Team Leadership and Development: Provide coaching, training, and mentorship to your team, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
    • Performance Monitoring and Analysis: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and implement data-driven optimization strategies, like Lean Manufacturing practices.
    • Budget Management: Manage departmental budgets and identify opportunities for cost reduction.
    • Problem-Solving: Troubleshoot production issues, identify root causes, and implement solutions to ensure smooth operations.
    • Approve vendors: Monitor the performance of existing vendors; vet and approve new vendors.

    We’re Excited if this is You:

    • A minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing operations management preferred.
    • Proven ability to achieve production goals within budget and time constraints.
    • Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
    • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
    • A proactive approach to problem solving.
    • In-depth knowledge of safety regulations and procedures.
    • Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
    • Proficient in MS Office Suite and common manufacturing operations software.
