We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Operations Specialist to join our team in Downtown Miami. This role is critical in supporting our logistics brokerage operations, ensuring seamless execution of freight movements, and maintaining superior customer service. The ideal candidate will have experience in logistics brokerage or asset-based logistics, with a strong background in booking orders, tracking shipments, and coordinating with customers. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the end-to-end booking of freight shipments, ensuring timely and accurate order processing.
- Track and monitor shipments in real time, proactively addressing any delays or disruptions.
- Communicate with carriers, drivers, and customers to provide updates and ensure smooth operations.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues related to shipments, providing exceptional service.
- Maintain accurate records of shipments, tracking data, and performance metrics.
- Collaborate with internal teams to optimize workflow efficiency and enhance service quality.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
- Assist with operational reporting and analysis to support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Coordinate with sales and account management teams to understand customer needs and ensure service expectations are met.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs.
- Work closely with carrier partners to negotiate rates and secure capacity for shipments.
- Support claims processing and dispute resolution for delayed or damaged shipments.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in logistics brokerage or asset-based logistics.
- Previous experience in a 3PL environment is strongly preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with carriers, customers, and internal teams.
- Proficiency in logistics software and tracking systems; experience with TMS platforms is a plus.
- Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach to addressing challenges and implementing solutions.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in a high-paced environment.
- Ability to analyze data and reports to make informed decisions and improve operational efficiency.
- Must be comfortable working in-office at our Downtown Miami location.
- Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is a plus but not required.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with carriers and customers to drive business growth and service excellence.
Compensation
- Base Salary: $60,000 per year.
