As we rapidly expand toward becoming a billion-dollar division, we are seeking a dynamic Operations Trainer to enhance leadership capabilities and operational excellence within our workforce.
Role Summary
The Operations Trainer plays a pivotal role in equipping leaders and managers across the organization with the skills and knowledge to excel in their roles. This includes delivering training on leadership development, operational processes, and job-specific skills while collaborating with instructional designers to develop innovative training materials. The ideal candidate will bring industry knowledge, a strong instructional foundation, and a passion for fostering growth within a fast-paced and expanding organization.
Location & Travel
Tempe, AZ preferred, or remote location. Travel approximately 50%
Key Responsibilities
• Leadership and Operational Training:
Facilitate training sessions covering leadership skills, operational processes, project management, and estimating for project managers, department managers, and senior leaders.
• Curriculum Development:
Design interactive, technology-enhanced training programs in collaboration with instructional designers, leveraging adult learning principles to enhance engagement and retention.
• Program Delivery:
Conduct in-person, virtual, and eLearning sessions to a geographically diverse workforce, ensuring training aligns with organizational goals and operational excellence.
• Collaboration and Mentorship:
Work closely with senior leaders, including original company founders, to translate decades of operational expertise into scalable and impactful training programs.
• Continuous Improvement:
Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs, gather feedback, and refine materials to enhance learning outcomes and align with organizational needs.
• Technical Skills Development:
Develop materials and deliver training for software systems and processes, ensuring staff proficiency in tools like Spectrum, SharePoint, and other operational systems.
Qualifications
• Strong experience in training or talent development roles, ideally within commercial construction, electrical, HVAC, or related industries.
• Demonstrated expertise in instructional design, adult learning theory, and delivering interactive, engaging training programs.
• Proven ability to connect with diverse audiences and translate complex processes into practical learning experiences.
• Proficiency in systems such as Spectrum, SharePoint, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Willingness to travel at least 50% of the time.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in field roles, such as project management or pre-construction, within the past 5–10 years.
• BICSI certification or related credentials, indicating expertise in ICT standards.
• Familiarity with advanced training technologies, including AI tools for instructional design.
• Experience working with ICT systems, including low-voltage cabling, AV, and life safety systems.
