    J&L Construction, LLC is a business specializing in heavy civil utilities construction in Denton, TX. We want to extend our team and for a full-time Operator 1.     Functions and Responsibilities

    · Coordinate, maintain and operate heavy machinery

    · Capable of operating hand and power tools

    · Ensure safe work practices and compliance with site-specific safety procedures and industry standards

    · Assist in preparing sites for construction activities, including grading, trenching, and excavation.

    · Load, transport, and unload materials to and from job sites as needed.

    · Work closely with project managers, foremen, and other team members to coordinate activities on-site.

    · Perform a wide variety task, to include transferring from one task to another as the workflow dictates

    · Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of equipment to ensure optimal performance and make reports/troubleshoot as needed

    · Assist with general labor duties as needed

    Qualifications and Skill Requirements

    · Proficiency in safely operating skid steers and excavators

    · Candidate MUST have 3+ years of related experience operating heavy equipment

    · Must be knowledgeable with trench and excavation requirements for depths of 25 ft or greater

    · High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications (e.g., OSHA, heavy equipment operator) preferred

    · Strong mechanical aptitude

    · Ability to lift heavy objects, work in varying weather conditions, and stand for extended periods as well as bend, stoop and crouch as needed to perform key duties

    · Ability to lift and carry at least 50 lbs. on a regular basis

    · Capable of following work directions and effective communication with Superintendents and fellow employees

    · Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening
