Continental Drilling & Service, a Synergen company, was established in 1953 with hard work, grit, and unrelenting drive to do right by its customers. In the 70+ years since, we have cemented our legacy as the gold standard in water well drilling, irrigation, and pump services across the Gulf South. Continental Drilling employees three drilling crews and four pump service crews who operate between four drilling rigs, a machine shop, and regular maintenance facilities. These crews are experts in their respective fields, tested by every kind of weather and terrain imaginable, and they are unbeaten.
We are actively seeking a Operator-CDL Driver at Continental Drilling & Service located in West Monroe, Louisiana that would be responsible for mobilizing and demobilizing equipment to and from job sites. The CDL Driver shall assist operations in manual labor and equipment operation once arriving to the job site.
Essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
Operate pump hoist and commercial vehicles
Perform manual labor duties
Follow all company standard operating procedures
Maintain inventory of critical spares on equipment and report any malfunctions
Maintain a clear drivers license in compliance with all DOT regulations
Perform Pre, in-route, and post trip inspections of commercial vehicles
Ensure equipment is kept clean and orderly at all times
Qualified applicants must posses the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:
Current Class A CDL with no restrictions
Strong organizational skills
Mechanical troubleshooting skills
Pump Hoist/Water Well experience preferred
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Use hands or fingers; handle or feel objects, tools, or controls
Stand; walk; sit; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
Lift and/or move up to 100 pounds
Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus
The noise level is usually moderate to high
Occasionally working outdoors in elements/weather
Overnight travel will be minimal under normal operational conditions.
