JOB DESCRIPTION
We are looking for an energetic, friendly, responsible, and reliable Ophthalmic Technician who enjoys a challenging and busy Ophthalmology practice. You should be able to provide excellent customer service, be self-motivated, task-oriented, caring, professional, reliable, detailed, and able to multitask.
Essential Functions include but are not limited to:
Conduct patient work-ups, including history taking and documentation of the patient's chief complaint.
Review of systems and all pertinent ocular findings.
Perform testing including VA measurements, topography, lensometry, auto-refraction, OCT, retinal photography, and Humphrey Visual Field testing.
Must be computer literate and be able to enter data into EMRs.
Fluency in typing/proficiency with computers.
Cleaning instruments using standard sterile processes.
Cleaning, stocking inventory, opening/closing exam rooms.
Ability to multitask & work in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to manage tasks involving a high level of detail & excellent Written/Verbal Communication Skills.
Professionalism and common courtesy at all times.
Ability to work well in a strong team setting.
Other administrative tasks as needed
Previous experience as an ophthalmic technician is preferred but not required.
We are willing to train the right candidate!
Salary is commensurate with skill level and experience.
