Position: Full Time Pay: Hourly - To Be Determined On Experience @ Time Of Interview Interview: Interview will be a 2 part, multi-day interview/shadow experience.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE IN FOLLOWING AREAS:
*1 year experience working as an ophthalmic technician preferred.
*COA or COT certification strongly encouraged but not mandatory. (If not currently certified, willing to complete certification within first year.) *If no Ophthalmic/Optometric experience, CNA or MA experience welcomed to apply.
*Promptly and professionally assists Surgeon/Provider with patient care.
*Performs technical workups and special testing on patients.
*Communicates with patients regarding follow-up care, surgeries, procedures, changes to schedule, symptoms, etc
*Maintains and cleans all equipment being used, and reports to supervisor if not in good condition or working order.
*Returns phone calls to patients and pharmacies.
*Assists in office procedures and surgeries.
*Efficiently and accurately interview patients for their chief complaint and documents histories.
*Good understanding of ophthalmic practice flow and patient care

*Computer skills including, but not limited to Excel, Microsoft Word, Outlook, and historical use and familiarity of a practice management/electronic medical records system.
*Prowess for independent work with ability to contribute to streamlining of clinic operations.
*Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
*Willing to learn and develop pertinent skills required to accomplish position responsibilities.

Physical Demands:
*Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
*Must demonstrate safe practices for patients with mobility issues and wheelchair transfer situations when performing preliminary testing for the Provider. These skills will also safely be performed when housing patients in exam chair, in the exam lane.
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8am to 5pm, Closed for Lunch Daily 12pm-1pm
