Ophthalmic Technician 📍 Jacksonville, FL
Office hours: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–5:00 PM | No nights or weekends! Must be flexible for local travel Full-Time
Levenson Eye Associates is a well-established, multi-site ophthalmology practice serving the greater Jacksonville area. With over 150 years of combined physician experience, we are committed to providing top-quality care with empathy, professionalism, and precision. We are growing and seeking dedicated, detail-oriented professionals to join our team.
Responsibilities:
Greet and educate patients on eye care services and surgical procedures
Take thorough ophthalmic and medical histories
Perform and interpret diagnostic tests (OCT, topography, visual fields, IOL master, etc.)
Provide pre- and post-operative education and instructions
Maintain a clean, efficient, and organized exam environment
Assist physicians and fellow technicians as needed
Travel between locations in the Jacksonville metro area as required
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
2+ years experience in ophthalmic, optometric, or medical assisting (preferred)
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
Professional appearance and demeanor
Team player mindset with a passion for patient care
Reliable transportation required
