    Job Summary:
    We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Ophthalmic Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will assist ophthalmologists in providing high-quality eye care by performing various diagnostic tests and procedures, preparing patients for examinations, and ensuring a smooth workflow in our clinic setting.

    Key Responsibilities:
    - Perform preliminary tests on patients, including visual acuity tests, and tonometry.
    - Assist in the administration of eye drops and other medications as prescribed by the ophthalmologist.
    - Take patient histories and record pertinent information in electronic health records (EHR).
    - Prepare and maintain examination rooms, equipment, and supplies to ensure a clean and safe environment.
    - Conduct basic ocular imaging tests, such as fundus photography, optical coherence tomography (OCT), and anterior segment exams.
    - Educate patients about pre- and post-operative care, and eye care practices.
    - Assist ophthalmologists during examinations and minor surgical procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
    - Maintain accurate and confidential patient records, including billing and insurance information.
    - Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.

    Qualifications:
    - High school diploma or equivalent; certification as an Ophthalmic Technician (e.g., COA or COT) is preferred.
    - Previous experience in an ophthalmic/optometric setting is a must.
    - Strong knowledge of ocular anatomy and common eye diseases.
    - Proficient in using ophthalmic diagnostic equipment and electronic medical records.
    - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate approach to patient care.
    - Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
    - Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
