    DNA Eye Group is looking for a dedicated Optometric Technician who will assist the optometrist in pretesting patients and who is an essential part of our front office team providing exceptional patient care.

    This position covers two (2) office locations: Desert Ridge (85050) and Peoria (85383)

    Must be Available to Work "full shifts" 5 days a week, on WEEKDAYS and WEEKENDS, based on business needs

    Will not schedule at more than one location during the same day

    Working Environment:

    On-site, inside of our practices (no remote work available)

    Patient care and customer service

    Sitting, standing, and moving around to different rooms

    Extended periods on the computer and examination equipment

    Multi-phone lines

    Ability to work at different locations

    Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.

    Minimum Qualifications: A high school diploma or equivalent. Customer service and optometry office experience preferred.

    Essential Duties:

    Greet patients by providing professional and friendly customer service

    Answer phones, schedule appointments, insurance verifications, patient check in and out processes, collect copays, patient intake duties, and referrals

    Enter patient data, maintain patient demographics, HIPAA compliance confidential data

    Explain processes to prepare patients for pretesting, perform vision pre-screenings, take legible notes during examinations, transition patients to doctors

    Provide exceptional patient care

    Promptly review and reply to voice messages

    Perform minor maintenance on examination equipment or contact the supervisor

    Daily office cleaning and sanitation of examination equipment

    Perform and document no show, NEE, and courtesy reminder calls

    Communicate effectively with patients, doctors, and fellow teammates

    Ability to be scheduled at different office locations during the week

    Excellent attendance and punctuality are essential for our patient care

    Other duties as assigned

    Desired Qualifications:

    Experience using optical pretesting equipment

    Evidence of strong working relationship with doctors

    Experience in customer service

    Bilingual (Spanish preferred)

    Ability to self-motivate with the experience to work under pressure

    Optometric technician certification or Associate's degree, optometric technician

    Associates or higher degree in the medical, human relations, or related fields
