    ASSOCIATE OPTOMETRIST Weekend part time: Friday, Saturday, Sunday, or Monday. Combination of days or 2-4 days flexibility. Saturday and Sunday shorter hours with same per diem pay.

    Job Summary We are independent optometrist practicing inside LensCrafters. Primary eye care is our goal. We provide eye care services only. Eye wear frames, quality lenses, and contact lens supplies are provided by LensCrafters with our prescriptions. The patient is free to purchase at LensCrafters or elsewhere.

    We have a great staff to assist the optometrist in pre-testing and trouble shooting. The doctor can dedicate his or her time to total patient care. We encourage patient education and quality eye care.

    We partner with NVISION EYE CENTERS and Loma Linda University Eye Institute to provide quality referral source.

    We are seeking a licensed Optometrist to join our team! As an Optometrist on the team, you will be meeting with new and existing patients, reviewing their assessment results, and talking to them to learn about their current concerns and issues. You will also perform a comprehensive eye exam to detect any abnormalities, prescribe and fit the appropriate lenses, and diagnose eye conditions. The ideal candidate stays up to date on the latest advancements in optometry, has strong communication and interpersonal skills, and works well within a team environment.

    Responsibilities

    Meet with new and existing patients to determine their concerns and needs

    Conduct a comprehensive eye exam to address all issues and find any defects or abnormalities

    Prescribe and fit the appropriate lenses

    Diagnose minor and major issues, including issues such as glaucoma and cataracts

    Work closely with the rest of the office team, as well as outside medical providers, to deliver an exceptional patient experience

    Qualifications

    Doctorate of Optometry from an accredited school

    A valid California state license to practice optometry

    Professional Liability Insurance

    CAQH Proview account

    Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including excellent listening skills. Spanish helpful.

    Familiarity with electric medical records systems

    The ability to work well independently, as well as within a team environment
