We are currently seeking a experienced Oracle Database Administrator / Developer (DB/D) to support the Financial Services Modernization Branch – Cost Analysis & Research Section (FSMB-CA&RS). The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and optimizing Oracle databases (version 19 or later), supporting payroll and financial data reporting, and maintaining the integration of time and attendance systems. Responsibilities & other details are listed below:
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Administer and develop Oracle databases to support payroll and financial operations.
- Ensure efficient data processing for bi-weekly payroll, personnel data, and financial reports.
- Create, review, and distribute approximately 900 reports bi-weekly using Oracle BI Developer.
- Maintain the accuracy of financial and payroll data in collaboration with internal teams.
- Manage UKG Time & Attendance (WebTA/GovTA) system integrations, ensuring seamless operations.
- Resolve time and attendance system issues for accounts, projects, and organizational structures.
- Provide technical support for database development, including user access and process documentation.
- Assist with payroll funding reclassifications and generate reports to support financial analysis.
- Run monthly and quarterly reports to support accounting estimates and audit requests.
- Develop and maintain crosswalk tables for accounts and projects in the WebTA/GovTA system.
- Create and submit weekly status reports on task performance and issues encountered.
ELIGIBILITY & QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5+ years of experience in Oracle database administration and development
- Advanced skills in SQL, PL/SQL, SQL Developer, and SQL*Plus
- Experience with Oracle BI Developer for report generation and dashboard management
- Proficiency in Excel (macros & pivot tables) and working with large datasets
- Experience managing time & attendance systems (WebTA/GovTA) and integrating financial data
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve data processing errors
- Public Trust clearance required or the ability to obtain it.
