    Job Description

    Title Company  is seeking a Licensed Texas Escrow Officer to join their busy Richardson, TX branch.   The Escrow Officer is responsible for maintaining escrow client relationships and processing  a high volume of refinance transactions in accordance with established policies and procedures.  The position requires the knowledge and experience necessary to efficiently handle any situation or escalation arising during the escrow process.

    RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

    ·         Manage the entire refinance/ settlement process, including compliance with lender instructions, title requirements, company requirements and other written instructions.

    ·         Obtain clear title by ordering title reports; resolving title defects; satisfying existing liens and encumbrances against property or principals.

    ·         Establish escrow account by depositing funds; maintaining records.

    ·         Prepare and review transaction documents.

    ·         Calculate all pro-rations.

    ·         Facilitate settlement by checking documents for completeness and accuracy; packaging documents as required and engaging third party signing service to effect closing.

    ·         Review and cause documents to be recorded; prepare and distribute final closing statements consistent with lender’s instructions.

    ·         Close escrow account by balancing and disbursing funds.

    ·         Comply with regulatory requirements by adhering, and enforcing adherence, to requirements.

    ·         Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks.

    JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

    ·         Title experience required

    ·         Ability to exercise independent judgment a must

    ·         Familiarity with standard concepts, best practices, and procedures within the escrow/title industry.

    ·         Ability to read and interpret documents.

    ·         Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proration, percentages, and volume.

    ·         Excellent verbal and written communications skills.

    ·         Detail-oriented and professional; able to handle confidential information.

    ·         Spanish speaking a plus

    ·         5+ years’ experience directly handling escrow transactions as an Escrow Officer.

    ·         Multi-state experience a plus.

    ·         Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
