Position Overview Position available for a creative individual in Orthotics/Prosthetics. Skills in laminating, thermoplastic molding, and composites are a plus. Experience as a Prosthetic/Orthotic technician is preferred. Hourly rate depends on experience of candidate. If candidate has prior experience in the filed of orthotics and prosthetics, that can increase the hourly rate. If there is no prior experience with this position, candidate will have on the job training. Talents our Technician must have:
Utilizes various tools and equipment. "Must be good mechanically with hand skills".
Equipment will be used: hand tools such as drills, electric saws, cutting equipment, mixing plaster, working with glues, sewing machine.
Compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA)
Adhere to all internal safety regulations.
Must regularly lift and/or move 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
Ability to stand for long periods of time.
Maintains equipment and work areas in a safe and clean condition, and reports the need for repair of equipment as necessary.
Maintain inventory
Work Environment:
Noise level in the environment is usually quiet.
Ability to work effectively as a team member.
Provides role modeling to teamwork, accountability, and a positive attitude.
Expected Hours 30-40 per week.
