    Job Description

    Under the supervision of the Executive Director, the Outdoor Education Manager oversees all aspects of the Outdoor Education program design and operation. The major components of this position include:

    Responsibilities

    Build and maintain a consistent client base for all Pathfinder Ranch education-based programs

    Personnel recruitment, selection, orientation, evaluation, scheduling and management

    Maintain accurate program records and logs

    Continual evaluation of programs and resources

    Aid in creating and maintain budgets

    Ensure the security and safety of camp grounds, facilities, and program equipment associated with programs

    Create and coordinate daily and seasonal program schedules

    Coordinate with other departments in program planning

    Develop and coordinate new programs and special events

    Disseminate all pertinent information to department employees

    Ongoing communication with the Executive Director for policy and standards direction, departmental development and relevant business

    Inventory and order equipment as needed

    Make public presentations, attend special events, and provide positive public relations on behalf of Pathfinder Ranch

    Comply with Health and Fire Department regulations, organizational policies and accreditation standards

    Other duties as assigned

    Job Requirements

    Ability to work well within the Pathfinder Ranch organization and with other employees

    Self-motivated and able to complete tasks in a timely and accurate manner

    Previous work experience within an organized camp, outdoor education program or similar setting

    Proficient with computers and the use of Google and Microsoft Office software

    Communicate effectively (both verbally and in writing)

    Effectively build and supervise program and staff

    Have a valid driver’s license and eligible for company insurance coverage

    Work a flexible schedule (may including weekends, evenings and holidays)

    Hold and maintain current child and adult First Aid, CPR and AED certifications from a nationally recognized provider (with in-person skill verification)

    18 years of age or older

    Preferred Qualifications

    Past experience supervising outdoor education and recreation programs

    1+ years supervisory experience in a camp setting

    Bachelor's Degree in a related field

    Physical Requirements

    Lift and carry 30 lbs. with reasonable accommodations

    Work a varied shift schedule in excess of 10 hours per day

    Traverse several miles per day on steep and uneven terrain in a variety of weather conditions.

    Operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard

    $19.50 - $22.50 per hour
