    TITLE: Outdoor Girl Experience Manager Reports to: Senior Outdoor Girl Experience and Property Manager Classification/FLSA Status: Regular, Full Time, Exempt LOCATION: Hybrid

    POSITION SUMMARY: The Outdoor Girl Experience Manager is responsible for development, implementation, and evaluation of Girl Scout programing in the areas of outdoors, resident summer camp, high adventure, aquatic paddle sports, archery, and environmental stewardship. The Outdoor Girl Experience Manager will deliver outdoor program opportunities throughout the council to enhance the Girl Scout Leadership Experience and offer program that compliments the national program portfolio as well as addressing the needs and interest of Girl Scout members.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities: · Provides opportunities that encourage girls, adults, and families to expand their outdoor experiences throughout the year

    · Contributing member of the Program team and will concentrate on providing exceptional experiences within the Outdoor core program focus area

    · Leads the design, development and delivery of progressive and intentional outdoor program experiences that help girls broaden their personal growth, enhance interpersonal relationships, and foster appreciation of the natural environment

    · Facilitates and coordinates volunteer training opportunities in the areas of camp training, paddle sports, wilderness first aid, first aid/ CPR, archery, program aid and counselor in training

    · Develops partnership agreements with community organizations, businesses, and subject matter experts to develop and deliver progressive outdoor programming to Girl Scouts

    · Develops resident summer camp offerings and responsible for full implementation of summer camp program including, financial management, ordering, vendor management, staff hiring and training, camp trading post

    · Manages department reporting, budgeting, goal setting, strategic planning, and outcomes evaluation with the support of the Senior Outdoor Girl Experience and Property Manager

    · Builds and maintains relationships with volunteers to ensure a high-quality outdoor experience for every girl

    · Acts as full time resident camp director during summer camp season residing on property and providing oversite of all camp operations

    · Supports grant development and implementation

    · Ensure program delivery is in adherence with Council Volunteer Policies and Procedures, Safety Activity Check Points, guidelines included in the National Program Portfolio and all applicable local, state, and federal laws.

    Required Skills/Abilities: • Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in related field, outdoor program, camp management etc.

    • Prior experience in nonprofits, programming, or curriculum development

    • Ability to perform work exerting up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or 20lbs. of force frequently and 10lbs. of force constantly to move objects

    • Ability to engage in prolonged standing, bending, stooping, walking long distances, hiking, climbing, stretching, and swimming

    • Ability to live in a camp setting and work extended hours with daily exposure to sun, heat, and animals such as insects, snakes, bats etc.

    • Ability to physically complete all outdoor activities and complete required certifications, including American Redcross Lifeguard Training, ACA Level 2 Kayaking, Canoeing, and Sailing, Wilderness First Aid Training, and USA Archery Level 2

    • Ability to clear a Florida Department Law Enforcement Level 2 Background screening.

    • Solid understanding and capable user of Customer Relations Software, Microsoft Office Suite and social networking

    • Valid Florida vehicle license, vehicle in working condition, proof of insurance, and/or the ability to fulfill timely and extensive travel requirements across widespread regional geography

    • Ability to work under minimal supervision and take initiative in making decisions.

    • Ability to travel to and/or attend offsite meetings.

    • Physical ability to frequently stop, kneel, bend, crouch, reach overhead, grasp, push, pull, lift, and move objects up to 50 pounds at shoulder height, and occasionally lift in excess of 50 pounds.

    • Demonstrated normal depth perception.

    • See and read printed materials, with or without visual aids; distinguish colors; read and understand rules and policies, labels and instructions.

    • Verbal communication including the ability to speak and hear at normal room levels.
