    This is not a 100% remote position. While most of the time the work can be done remotely, the successful candidate will be expected to come into the Herndon, Virginia office once a week and therefore needs to be local. Please do not apply if you are not able to come into the Herndon, Virginia office at least once a week.

    Who we are looking for: Clinic Support Staff Member

    This role supports the clinic operations team and is expected to require 10-15 hours of work per week and be available between the hours of 9 am - 1pm, Monday through Friday. The successful candidate needs to be able to work independently with minimal oversight. It will initially start off as a part-time contract position and has the potential to expand into a full-time W2 paid position with benefits.

    Responsibilities and Duties

    Handles referrals for services, schedules assessments

    Completes pre-certification with insurance companies to authorize services

    Assist patients with completing intake paperwork

    Provides initial assessment and triage

    Review and follow up on call logs to ensure patient's questions were answered and to schedule them for services

    Outreach to new patients to ensure they are satisfied with their services

    Run clinic reports to ensure smooth clinic operations

    Works with the therapist staff to coordinate appointments for patients

    Required Qualifications and Skills

    Must be available to respond to emails during regular daytime office hours (Monday- Friday)

    Prior experience working in an outpatient mental health clinic

    Prior experience working directly with clients

    Be flexible and available during daytime office hours

    Be accountable for assigned tasks without the need for follow-up supervision

    Strong familiarity with Microsoft Office including Word and Excel

    Preferred Qualifications and Skills

    Prefer experience completing pre-authorization and insurance verification

    Ideal candidates will have a general knowledge of therapy services, community resources, insurance billing
