    Job Title: Clinical Therapist

    As an Outpatient Therapist at Ellie Mental Health’s new locally owned and operated clinic in Lincolnwood, you'll share our vision for improving and expanding access to quality mental health care and thrive in an environment driven by our core values of authenticity, humor, compassion, creativity, acceptance, and determination.

    Job Summary:

    The Clinical Therapist provides mental health services to clients in an outpatient setting. The therapist will conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and provide therapy to individuals or groups dealing with a variety of psychological, emotional, and behavioral issues. This role involves a combination of clinical responsibilities, documentation, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team of mental health professionals.

    Position work model: Hybrid (Onsite + Remote)

    Position openings: Full time and Part time

    Remote Role Requirements:

    Strong Internet connection, minimum MBPS 75 when working from home.

    Confidential space to perform remote work per HIPAA requirements

    Must complete remote work within the State of Illinois.

    Required Qualifications and Skills:

    Education: A master’s or doctoral degree in psychology, counseling, social work, marriage and family therapy, or a related field.

    Licensing/Certification: Valid Illinois license to practice therapy (e.g., LSW, LCSW, LCPC, LPC, LMFT, Psychologist, or equivalent).

    Experience: At least 1-2 years of experience in providing therapy, preferably in an outpatient or clinical setting.

    Salary:

    Competitive salary, typically ranging from $46,000 to $85,000+ per year, depending on experience, licensure, and weekly caseload.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Therapeutic Services:

    Conduct individual, family, and group therapy sessions to address a range of mental health concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, relationship issues, addiction, and more.

    Develop and implement person centered treatment plans based on client needs, input and goals.

    Use evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and other relevant modalities.

    Provide crisis intervention and risk assessments as needed.

    Assessment and Evaluation:

    Perform initial intake assessments to determine the client’s mental health status, history, and specific treatment needs.

    Reassess clients periodically to monitor progress and modify treatment plans as necessary.

    Document clinical findings, treatment plans, and progress notes in accordance with agency and regulatory requirements.

    Collaboration and Consultation:

    Work closely with other mental health professionals, including psychiatrists, case managers, and social workers, to coordinate client care.

    Provide referrals to other services (e.g., medication management, SMI, residential treatment, community resources) when appropriate.

    Maintain strong communication with clients’ support systems (family, school, or work) to promote a holistic approach to treatment.

    Documentation and Compliance:

    Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with state laws, licensing regulations, and insurance requirements. Clinical notes must be completed within 48 hours of the intervention.

    Adhere to ethical standards and confidentiality guidelines as outlined by HIPAA and professional governing bodies.

    Cultural Competency:

    Provide culturally sensitive therapy to a diverse client population, considering cultural, racial, socioeconomic, and religious differences.

    Respect and understand the impact of cultural factors on the mental health and well-being of clients.

    Professional Development:

    Stay current with clinical best practices, techniques, and research through ongoing professional development and training.

    Participate in supervision and peer consultation sessions as required to maintain licensure and improve clinical practice.

    Other Duties:

    Participate in staff meetings and contribute to the development of clinical policies and practices based on skill set.

    Actively participate in outreach and marketing to grow case load.

    Occasionally provide educational services to the community regarding mental health awareness.

    Other duties as assigned.

    Skills and Knowledge:

    Strong clinical skills with an understanding of mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment modalities.

    Familiarity with Illinois state mental health laws, regulations, and ethical guidelines.

    Experience with completing Diagnostic Assessments

    Proficient in the use of Office 365 and EHR systems (Valant)

    Preferred Qualifications:

    Experience with specific populations (e.g., children, adolescents, adults, substance abuse, trauma, etc.)

    Bilingual and/or multilingual proficiency.

    Experience working with diverse and underserved populations.
