DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for direct supervision of outreach staff on shift. Consult with the Outreach Supervisor to ensure coordination of services. Coordinate deployment of teams, develop outreach approaches, and oversee referrals and referral resources. Manage data collection and reporting from the team. Ensure team and client safety. Perform treatment planning and other responsibilities required of Outreach Specialists. Provide emergency first aid/CPR or overdose prevention protocol assistance when needed. Related duties as assigned.
HOURS:
Full Time, 37.5 hours per week
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's Degree required. Will consider an Associate's Degree and at least one year of direct outreach experience in working with the homeless and/or mentally ill and substance abusing populations or High School Diploma with at least two years of direct outreach experience working with the homeless and/or mentally ill and substance abusing populations. Valid state drivers license preferred. Basic computer literacy required. Must have valid state driver's license. Ability to speak Spanish desirable. CPR training certification or willingness to take training class in CPR.

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:
BRC Homeless Outreach works with unsheltered individuals on the streets and in transportation hubs of Manhattan to motivate them to accept services that will get them off the streets both initially and for the long term. To achieve housing for our clients, the BRC Homeless Outreach team builds trust with each individual, breaks down resistance to services, and remains determinedly focused on identifying appropriate and acceptable placements for our clients.
