Overview:
Black Cliffs Equipment is looking to hire a motivated and self-driven outside sales representative to help cover the local market areas that we serve. Our sales representatives are held to the highest standards of customer care and are expected to follow up on all leads in a timely manner and complete sales with the highest level of integrity. The ideal candidate will have a proven sales track record in the equipment industry and demonstrate a strong ability to communicate effectively with customers throughout the sales process. Must be comfortable selling Kubota, Massey Furgeson, Land Pride and General Implement equipment.
Essential Functions, Duties & Responsibilities:
Work with customers and potential customers to provide solutions to their equipment needs. Provides on-site expertise for demonstrations, machine inspections and technical support.
Complete necessary sales paperwork and submit timely to sales administrators.
Accurately, efficiently and timely provide customer quotes on desired equipment.
Attend proper trainings required by manufacturing companies.
Inspect equipment for general conditions and sale readiness.
Respect, advocate, and follow workplace safety requirements.
Participate in the company's strategic programs and projects.
Introduce new customers to service and parts personnel in the organization.
Following up with customers after sale to maintain a good working relationship.
Complete all work in accordance with company policies, guidelines, and procedures.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Three to Five years of experience in equipment sales, preferred, but experience in a related industry will also be considered.
Strong account management skills with a focus on building long-term client relationships.
Knowledge of agriculture and construction equipment.
Ability to operate equipment for purposes of demonstration with customers.
Ability to be self-motivated and work independently in addition to collaborating with the sales team as needed.
Maintain current product knowledge on features and benefits of all equipment potentially saleable by the dealership.
Cold calling ability is a must. The company is trying to grow the territory so a significant amount of time will be spent on new customer acquisitions.
Consistent attendance is essential.
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
Associates or Bachelors Degree preferred.
Proof of acceptable driving record.
Must be able to communicate in English (speak, read, write, and comprehend).
