Job Description: We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Outside Sales Representative to join our team, a leading provider of fresh, high-quality produce to businesses in the foodservice, retail, and wholesale industries. In this role, you will play a key part in driving our sales efforts by building and maintaining relationships with customers, identifying new business opportunities, and delivering exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales and Business Development
Identify and pursue new sales opportunities within the assigned territory.
Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers to ensure repeat business and customer satisfaction.
Develop customized solutions to meet client needs while promoting our product portfolio.
Customer Relationship Management
Act as the primary point of contact for customers, providing product knowledge, support, and assistance.
Regularly visit customer sites to assess their needs and ensure satisfaction.
Resolve customer issues and inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
Market Analysis
Stay informed about market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities.
Provide feedback and recommendations to management to refine sales strategies.
Order Management and Follow-Up
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely delivery of products.
Monitor order status, resolve discrepancies, and communicate updates to customers.
Meet or exceed sales quotas and other performance metrics.
Reporting and Documentation
Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and transactions using Famous software.
Prepare regular reports on sales performance and forecasts.
Qualifications
Proven experience in outside sales, preferably in the wholesale produce or foodservice industry.
Strong understanding of fresh produce and its distribution channels.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Proficiency in using Famous.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Preferred Skills
Knowledge of the local market and key players in the industry.
Ability to negotiate and close deals effectively.
Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
Physical Requirements
Ability to travel within the assigned territory frequently.
Capacity to lift and move boxes of produce if necessary.
