Outside Sales Representative
Area covering: Rocky Mountain Plains
Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Responsible for identifying and cultivating new business opportunities, maintaining relationships with existing clients, and achieving sales targets within an assigned territory. This role requires a proactive and results-driven individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Prospecting and Lead Generation:
- Identify and research potential clients and leads within the assigned territory.
- Cold call, email, and use other methods to initiate contact with potential customers.
- Attend industry events and networking functions to build a strong pipeline of prospects.
Sales Presentations:
- Conduct product/service presentations to potential clients, showcasing the features and benefits.
- Customize sales pitches to address the specific needs of each client.
- Provide accurate and detailed information about the company's products or services.
Relationship Building:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Act as the main point of contact for clients and address any concerns or issues promptly.
- Regularly check in with clients to understand their evolving needs and preferences.
Sales Negotiation and Closing:
- Negotiate terms and conditions of sales agreements.
- Work to overcome objections and close deals to meet or exceed sales targets.
- Prepare and present proposals and contracts to clients.
Market Intelligence:
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions.
- Provide feedback to the sales and marketing teams on customer preferences and market demands.
Reporting and Documentation:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities, including customer interactions, sales calls, and closed deals.
- Prepare regular reports on sales performance and submit them to the regional sales manager.
May be modified from time to time. Other duties, tasks and work may be assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
- Proven experience in outside sales or a related field.
- Familiarity with CRM software and sales tools.
- Willingness to travel within the assigned territory.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIRED
- Strong Computer proficiency
- Proficiency using e-mail, the internet, Microsoft Office, and other computer tools
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Goal-oriented with a focus on achieving and exceeding sales targets.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
High school or equivalent required.
Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field (preferred).

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Outside Sales Representatives often need to travel extensively within their assigned territory to meet with clients, attend meetings, and visit prospects. This can involve driving long distances, flying, or other modes of transportation.
- If the sales territory is geographically large, significant time may be spent driving to different locations. This can involve sitting for extended periods and may include navigating through various traffic conditions.
- During client meetings, presentations, or industry events, Outside Sales Representatives may need to stand or walk for extended periods.
BONUS/COMMISSION PLAN
Eligible for commission after successful completion of introductory 90 days.
**COMPENSATION
** $70,000 - $80,000, commission program after 90 days, health/dental/vision insurance after 60 days of employment at the 1st of the month.
