Summer Intern - US Domestic Policy Program (Paid internship)
Job Description
Oxfam America is a global relief and development organization working to right the wrongs of poverty, hunger, and injustice. As one of 17 members of the Oxfam International confederation, Oxfam America works with people in more than 90 countries to create long-term solutions to poverty, and campaigns for social change.
Oxfam America’s US Domestic Program manages four programs: Good Jobs in the Gulf Coast, focused on workforce training and advocacy supporting working families in Louisiana and Mississippi; Decent Work, focused on the challenges facing low-wage workers in the US, with a particular emphasis on marginalized women workers; Foodworker Justice, focused primarily on the working conditions of poultry processing workers; and Puerto Rico Recovery, focusing on a just and equitable rebuilding after Hurricane Maria. The intern position will primarily support the Decent Work program.
