Through the Digital Square mechanism, the U.S. President’s Malaria Initiative (PMI) is funding a rapid assessment of the Reveal platform in Thailand to understand its current use and appropriateness to expand to community level. As malaria elimination nears, Digital Square will investigate how digital tools used by community health workers may accelerate foci identification, management, and deployment of resources.

The consultant will work as part of a team based in Thailand and the United States. The consultant will work closely with a pre-identified consultant in Thailand (the Country Systems Advisor) to carry out the scope of work outlined below.

Consultant Activities

Work will be completed by MARCH 31, 2022. 

Activities to be conducted for this consultancy include:

DATA COLLECTION THROUGH KEY INFORMANT INTERVIEWS

• Conducting approximately 10 key informant interviews in Thai to validate the digital health landscape in Thailand in partnership with Country System Advisor.
• Translating, transcribing, and delivering all data key informant interviews, including but not limited to interview recordings, notes, and transcriptions.
• As required, contributing to the synthesis and review of findings from key informant interviews.

Deliverables: KII transcripts for interviews conducted

COLLABORATIVE REQUIREMENTS DEVELOPMENT METHODOLOGY (CRDM) WORKSHOP SERIES

• Translate workshop materials.
• Attend and provide translation services for a two-day CRDM workshop series.
• Transcribe workshop outputs (documents, workflows, and notes) into English.

Deliverables: Thai workshop materials (powerpoints, workflows, etc.), English post-workshop materials (inclusive of documents, workflows, and notes).

DEVELOPING A TARGET PRODUCT PROFILE 

• Documenting needs and opportunities that arise from communications with CHWs, district as well as provincial managers.
• Contributing as required to culmination of Target Product Profile for Thailand.

Deliverables: Key informant interview notes, transcripts, and recordings
