    PATH is collaborating with the Directorate of Medical Education, Chhattisgarh to improve Medical Education and specialty services given by Medical College hospitals in the state. Accordingly, PATH proposes to establish a Program Management Unit in the Directorate of Medical Education, Chhattisgarh to support the state in monitoring and revamping medical education in government medical colleges and improve the quality of services provided. The position of Public Health Coordinator will support strengthening the existing operational medical colleges.

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

     

    • Coordinate with relevant departments to ensure timely implementation of the program
    • Support the implementation of existing guidelines and policies to operationalize and strengthen the state’s medical colleges
    • Support the development of SoPs to streamline the processes of departments in facilities
    • Conducting the hospital assessments and preparing the report with clear set of solutions for gap filling
    • Support in developing the plan for continuous medical education to develop knowledge and clinical skills required for medical and paramedical staff to perform the role of competent and effective teacher, clinician, administrator, and mentor
    • Analyze the gaps in HR and support state in preparing the plan for HR rationalization
    • Support the team in the documentation of best practices and learnings etc.

     

    Required Skills Required Experience

     

     

    • Medical Graduate with Postgraduation in Community Medicine /Public Health/Health/Hospital Management

    • Experience – 8-10 years preferably working with health department in similar role

    • Experience of working with government, donors, and stakeholders will be preferred

    • Excellent coordination skills, both internal across programming sectors and support teams, and externally with implementing partners

    • Must have experience in program and project management including vendor and partner engagement

    • Demonstrated skills in planning, coordination, supportive supervision, and monitoring

    • Strong documentation and report writing skills with sharp analytical focus and problem-solving ability

    • Ability to work with limited supervision and an expectation to lead
