    Job Description

    Position Title: Activities Coordinator Reports to: Director of Success Club Fellowship Program General Description: Plan and organize a variety of social and recreational activities for clients in agency's residential programs and members of Success Club Fellowship Program. Assist clients in developing hobbies and learning how to effectively use leisure time. Provide transportation as needed. Specific Responsibilities: 1. Staff must be knowledgeable about clients' rehabilitation plans and provide interventions in accordance with client centered goals. 2. Provide client crisis interventions and support services as needed. 3. Record significant behavioral observations in Pathways' cloud-based application, prepare written reports as necessary, report all unusual behaviors to supervisor, and prepare incident reports as mandated. 4. Assist in day-to-day operation of the Success Club Fellowship Program. Work with Director and program members to develop, plan and coordinate weekly and monthly activities at the Program. 5. Ensure compliance with all state and municipal regulations pertaining to program operation. 6. Plan and carry out small activity groups for clients (e.g. field trips, sports activities, etc.) 7. Participate in staff meetings, in-service trainings, case conferences and other meetings as necessary. 8. Other duties and special projects as assigned. 9. Provide transportation for clients to and from program; transport clients to routine appointments as needed; willing to obtain licensure to drive passenger van. 10. Keep agency vehicles safe and up to date with maintenance and inspections. Desirable Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: 1. Knowledge of basic principles of human development and psychopathology. 2. Ability to teach and promote the development of basic independent living skills 3. Basic understanding and empathy for the needs of the seriously mentally ill. 4. Knowledge of Basic First Aid, crisis intervention and emergency principles. Qualifications: 1. Minimum of an Associate's degree in Human Services or related field or previous experience working with people with mental illness. 2. Valid driver's license and use of car during normal business hours.
