    Job Description

    As a PBX Operator at Goldener Hirsch, you will be the primary liaison for all internal and external communications within the hotel. Your role is crucial in ensuring that all calls are handled promptly, courteously, and directed to the appropriate departments or individuals, thereby maintaining seamless communication throughout the property.

    • Answer and Direct Calls: Respond to all incoming calls efficiently and courteously, directing them to the correct department or individual.

    • Message Handling: Accurately record and relay messages to guests and staff, ensuring timely delivery and follow-up.

    • Wake-Up Calls: Schedule and execute wake-up calls as requested by guests, ensuring reliability and punctuality.

    • Emergency Procedures: Be well-versed in hotel emergency procedures, acting as a central communication point during emergencies and providing clear instructions to guests and staff

    • Guest Services: Assist guests with inquiries, providing information about hotel services, facilities, and local attractions

    • Administrative Support: Perform administrative duties such as maintaining call logs, updating directories, and supporting other departments as needed

    Qualifications:

    • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in hospitality or communications is a plus.

    Experience: Previous experience as a PBX Operator or in a customer service role within a luxury hotel setting is preferred.

    • Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal communication skills with a clear, pleasant speaking voice and professional telephone etiquette.

    • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with PBX systems and basic computer applications.

    • Customer Service: Strong commitment to providing outstanding service, with the ability to remain composed and efficient under pressure

    • Problem-Solving: Ability to handle guest concerns and emergencies with tact and efficiency.

    • Flexibility: Willingness to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required in a 24/7 operation.
