    Job Title: PC Technician

    Reports to: IT Support Manager

    We are seeking a PC Technician with 1-3 years’ experience installing, maintaining and repairing hardware/software as well as troubleshooting technical issues. Will provide onsite, hands-on technical expertise to receive, stage, and configure inventory.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

     

    • Inventory Management: Receive, stage, manage, and pre-configure hardware for client projects and internal use.
    • Documentation: Maintain and update internal technical documentation for both the company and clients, including managing device images.
    • Hardware Setup: Handle all hardware setups for clients and internal staff, including desktops, laptops, thin clients, BDR servers, phones, access points, and other peripherals.
    • Onsite Delivery & Setup: Deliver and set up client workstations and peripheral devices at client locations.
    • Warranty Repairs & Returns: Process warranty repairs with manufacturers, including making phone calls, following up, shipping, troubleshooting, and coordinating with onsite repair technicians.
    • Shipping Management: Process both outbound and inbound shipping tasks, including creating shipping labels, scheduling pickups and courier deliveries, packing items securely, and dropping off packages at FedEx/UPS locations to ensure timely delivery. Account for shipping costs in tickets and ensure shipping supplies are well-stocked
    • Ticket Management: Monitor and respond to service tickets in ConnectWise, ensuring tasks are completed on time.
    • Team Support: Assist other teams as needed, such as handling service tickets or light project work.
    • Workroom Organization: Ensure the workroom remains clean, organized, and clutter-free.
    • Knowledge Growth: Continuously grow knowledge of support procedures, products, and services.
    • Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned.

    Must-Have Background and Skills

    • Degree in related field, or equivalent experience
    • Certification in A+, Net+ are a plus
    • Hardware: PC hardware, Macs, printers, scanners, computer peripherals, mobile devices, servers
    • Software: Windows PC OS, VMWare, and 3rd parties
    • Ability to work independently utilizing MIS documented policies & procedures
    • Demonstrated success with multi-tasking and prioritizing
    • Experience working in a fast-paced, friendly, and team-oriented environment
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills
    • Strong organization skills and acute attention to detail
    • Enjoys working with people to solve problems and learn new things
    • Demonstrated success with multi-tasking and the ability to adapt to ever-changing environment while maintaining a clear focus on all priorities

     

    Physical Requirements

    • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
    • Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 75 lbs. on occasion
    • Driving up to, but not limited to, 100 miles per day. Must have reliable vehicle and valid/clean driver’s license
