    J ob Summary

    We are seeking a dedicated PCA to join our team at Memorial Hermann Surgery Center- Southwest. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring seamless surgical and patient care operations. The ideal candidate is passionate about delivering high-quality care, has a strong attention to detail, and thrives in a collaborative healthcare environment.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Assist patients with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care to non-acutely ill patients and assists in maintenance of a safe and clean environment under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team and/or unit.

    Skills Required

    • Knowledge of patient care charts and patient histories
    • Patient Interviewing skills
    • Ability to perform standard clinical procedures according to established protocols
    • Knowledge of patient evaluation procedures
    • Ability to perform routine invasive procedures, such as venipuncture, and EKG
    • Ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standards
    • Ability to adapt to change quickly, strong knowledge base relative to surgery procedures and management of the surgical patient
    • Understands principles of aseptic technique and their implementation

    Experience Required

    • Medical Assistant or clinical training preferred
    • One year experience directly related to duties and responsibilities specified is preferred
    • Experience working in an ASC is a plus.

  • Qualifications
    • High school graduate or equivalent.
    • Current CPR or BLS. CNA, MA or other certifications preferred.
    • Demonstrates necessary clinical competency.
