    Job Title: PCB Design Engineer

    Position Overview: Searching for a talented PCB Design Engineer with extensive experience in designing embedded systems and motherboards for common computer processors, including x86-based Intel and AMD chips. The ideal candidate will excel in PCB schematic and layout design, design simulation, verification, and debugging. Key competencies include expertise in design for manufacturing (DFM), signal integrity, low-power IoT applications, and both serial and wireless communication protocols.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Design and develop PCB layouts for embedded systems and motherboards for medical devices.
    • Work with x86-based Intel, AMD, and ARM processors to create efficient and reliable hardware compute solutions.
    • Ensure thermal management and power supply requirements are met for all designs.
    • Optimize PCB layouts for signal integrity, manufacturing efficiency, and cost.
    • Integrate and manage radio communication stacks, including WI-FI, Bluetooth, and other protocols.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, electrical engineers, mechanical engineers, and product managers, to ensure seamless integration of hardware and software components.
    • Conduct thorough testing and validation of hardware designs to meet regulatory standards and ensure product reliability.
    • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for hardware-related issues.
    • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in PCB design and medical device technology.
    • Ensure compliance with common medical device certifications, including UL, ISO 60601-1, etc.

    Required Skills:

    • Extensive experience in PCB layout and design for embedded systems and motherboards.
    • Strong understanding of design for manufacturing (DFM) principles.
    • Expertise in signal integrity optimization for PCB layouts.
    • Knowledge of IoT applications and low power design techniques.
    • Experience with AI acceleration technologies and strategies.
    • Proficiency in serial and wireless communication protocols, including SPI, I2C, UART, Bluetooth, and WiFi.
    • Ability to design for cost to ensure products meet budgetary constraints.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
    • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
    • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

    Desirable Skills:

    • Experience writing firmware for embedded devices, specifically micro-controllers.
    • Familiarity with Zephyr OS or other embedded operating systems.
    • Knowledge of embedded systems programming and debugging.
    • Experience working with pressure transducers, particularly in a Wheatstone bridge configuration.
    • Experience with ASICs.
    • Knowledge of working with RTOS devices.
    • Experience with antenna design.
    • Experience in the medical device industry is a plus.
