SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE:
We're looking for an Technology Support Specialist to add to our fast-growing team!
Founded in 2019, Vape-Jet is an automation technology company in Tigard, OR, in the exciting world of ancillary cannabis solutions. Specifically, we manufacture automation machines and create software that automates filling for cartridges and other devices. What will you be doing?
You'll be responsible for remote and onsite service and support needs for our business customers. This relates to all technology, including understanding the ins/outs of our physical machines as well as all facets of the software. Our software runs on embedded devices running a Linux OS, so experience with or willingness to learn linux is a plus! Experience tinkering with 3d printers is also extremely desirable. Mostly, you get to support all the cool technology that other companies only dream about! You'll need stellar entry-level IT skills, the capability to blaze through problems like a kitty blazes through Fancy Feast, and a personality that people love to be around. You'll need good interpersonal and technical communication skills, attention to detail, and an awesome attitude. We need you to be open to ideas and add your own brainy contributions to the team; we offer a fun, engaging, supportive environment in which your enthusiasm can thrive. Sense of humor is a plus, because life is crazy.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
● Act as the first line of defense when problems arise for our customers. Greeting them on the phone, by email, chat support, or in person.
● Troubleshoot and repair hardware and software
● Document customer requests and gather information
● Travel to customer sites to perform work (you will need your own vehicle)
● Work with our team to consistently serve beyond customer expectations
● Document work and track time thoroughly and accurately
● Communicate effectively within the Operations and Sales teams
● Be an organized self-starter who shows up every single day, on time, and ready to succeed
● Actively participate and contribute to team and company meetings
● Performs other related duties as assigned
● Work occasional nights and/or weekends when we do service-affecting work to minimize customer downtime during business hours
REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
● Strong and demonstrable verbal and written communication skills
● Extraordinary and demonstrable attention to detail
● Ability to follow directions and policies precisely
● Very strong Google-Fu
● Superior knowledge and/or experience in the following technologies:
○ Linux Operating Systems / Open Source Software
○ 3d Printing / Electronics
○ Basic TCP/IP Networking and Troubleshooting skills.
● Driver's License
● Ability to obtain an OLCC cannabis handlers license
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
● Lift 50lbs
● Sit/stand for long periods.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
● Up to 20% travel may be required.
