Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a PE/PD Engineer at Troy Industries, Inc. in Clarksville, TN. The PE/PD Engineer will provide design support, new product testing and launch support, process improvement, etc.
Responsibilities:
- Brainstorm ideas: Research trends and come up with new product ideas
- Design products: Use CAD software to create blueprints and detailed drawings
- Test prototypes: Evaluate prototypes for safety and design flaws
- Ensure quality: Make sure products meet safety and quality standards
- Oversee manufacturing: Ensure the manufacturing process is safe, efficient, and cost-effective using tool such as BOM's
- Coordinate with others: Work with sales, marketing, and other engineering teams
- Communicate: Present designs to stakeholders and clients
- Troubleshoot: Identify and fix problems that arise during manufacturing
- Research: Analyze customer needs, market trends, and industry conditions
- Design: Create product specifications, prototypes, and designs
- Test: Build and test prototypes, and coordinate product testing
- Evaluate: Assess production costs and options, and ensure products meet quality standards
- Improve: Develop new and better versions of existing products
- Communicate: Inform management of progress, and communicate product features to the design team
- Collaborate: Work with market research, business leaders, and other stakeholders
- Ensure compliance: Ensure products meet relevant requirements and company standards

- Engineering degree in related field or 3-5 years of progressive experience in a directly relatable field
- Experience in manufacturing environment or comparable military experience preferred, but not required.
