Peak Beverage is a unique, full-service beverage catering company with clients throughout the front range and mountain communities, with a retail liquor store in Downtown Denver. Peak Beverage is located on Brighton Boulevard across the street from the new Mission Ballroom in the RiNo district, and our 30,000 square foot facility serves as the home of all Peak Beverage operations as well RiNo's largest and most well-curated foot liquor store.
We have experienced significant growth and are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven individual to join our team. We have opportunities for part time or full time (weekend availability required), hourly position that will be responsible for continuing and expanding Peak Beverage's retail operation in the marketplace by providing the best customer service, having great product knowledge with the opportunity to learn more, and creating an experiential and informed retail experience.
Position:
In this role, we expect you to have a baseline understanding of the wide world of beverage, or a passion to learn. You will be surrounded by product experts and some of Colorado's best mixologists and spirits experts, certified wine nerds, cicerones and beer lovers, and a community of bartenders and industry folks that are passionate about all things related to tasty beverages! More importantly, we are looking for people who love people and have a passion for educating people and encouraging them to explore new wine regions, discover new classes of beers and understand what it is about your favorite spirit that you have learned to love. We are looking to build an environment that takes the intimidating liquor store model and creates an interactive, educational and fun atmosphere for our team and customers alike.
Provides and drives excellent customer service, including but not limited to: connecting with customers and building regulars, verifying I.D.'s, for authenticity, making sure no illegal sales are made to intoxicated patrons or minors.
Recommends and sells merchandise to customers. Helps carry merchandise to customer's vehicles. Cash handling such as receipt and deposit of money, count cash, balance cash receipts, and prepare bank deposit forms. Performs cashier duties, including operating cash register/point-of-sale (POS) system.
Utilizing Peak Beverage's delivery best practices to ensure efficient and correct deliveries for all online orders across all delivery platforms.
Uphold Peak Beverage's dedication to customer service both in delivery interactions as well as the in-store shopping experience.
Changes, rotates and prices displays. Continuously stays on-trend on what the market is drinking and creative ways to educate and upsell to customers. Stocks and rotates liquor merchandise on shelves (involves carrying cases of beer, liquor and wine). Stocks coolers and set-up displays.
Performs general cleaning maintenance at the liquor store, including but not limited to: setting up and dismantling displays; dusting shelves, displays, etc.; vacuuming and sweeping floors; removing snow from walkways; removing trash from store; cleaning store and cooler windows; washing shelves and bottles; and cleaning restrooms.
Assists with training of the staff, including store guidelines, product knowledge and carding procedures.
Assists with coordinating or carrying out on-site tastings with other staff and or vendors.
Assures compliance with all store procedures and applicable laws.
Experience:
Relevant: 1 year in hospitality, event, or service industry (Preferred)
