This position tentatively starts orientation and training on or about August 1, 2024. Must be available to start on this date. This position will follow the Tucson Unified School District School Year Calendar. TUSD is in session August through May each school year. The Behavioral Health Coach/BHT must be able to work this assigned schedule. Daily start and dismissal times may vary depending on the individual school assigned.
PTO and unpaid Time off and Vacations will occur during the scheduled school break periods.
The In-school Behavioral Coaching program is designed to meet the needs of our In-School child population with behavioral issues and who may possibly have co-occurring disorders. In-School Behavioral Coaches provide much needed assistance to teachers by working with clients within the classroom setting. BHC's removes disruptive students from the classroom and works with them one-on-one to modify behavior and helps them return to the class with improved skills. These highly-trained professionals provide a service to teachers and students alike.
This position is responsible to provide treatment for elementary and middle school children that promotes client dignity, independence, individuality, strengths, privacy and choice while respecting cultural differences and demonstrating ethical behaviors. The Behavioral Health Coach assists Children with understanding and self-management, while providing any necessary monitoring and follow up to determine if the services accessed have adequately met the individual’s needs.

· Current CPR/AED and First Aid Certifications
· TB Test (within the last 12 months)
