- Education and Care of Children:
- Affirms the Personal Rights of each child, as per Title 22 Regulations (LIC 613A)
- Use your education and experience acquired to care for and support children's success. This is achieved by encouraging learning that promotes the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development of each child
- Actively participate in the learning environment according to the school's philosophy and supervise all children by moving around as you interact

- Be friendly and flexible. Each day and school are different. One day you may be leading group time and the next supporting by cleaning up after snack, changing diapers, and doing dishes

Maintain your CCL and HR file by keeping paperwork and certifications updated.
Attend Piazza mandatory meetings and training as needed
All other duties as assigned
Community Care Licensing Qualifications:
- 18 years or older
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- At least one year of experience working in a childcare setting
- Physician signed Health Screening Report (within last year)
- Current proof of these immunizations
- CA Background Clearance – Active Clearance Number with no exemptions
- Official transcripts showing no less than 12 units (with passing grades) in Early Childhood Education or Child Development specifically:
- Child Growth and Dev/Human Growth and Dev
- Child Family and Community
- Program/Curriculum
- ECE or CD elective
- Pediatric CPR/First Aid Certification
- Current Mandated Reporter Training certificate
- Current DPR-Integrated Germ Management certificate
Preferred Additional Coursework/Certifications:
- Child Development Permit (CDP) - Associate Teacher or above issued by the California Commission on Credentialing (CTC)
- AA Degree in Child Development or Early Childhood Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Child Development or Early Childhood Education
- 6 ECE units in Infant/Toddler Care
- 3 ECE units in School-Age Programs
- 16-hour preventative health practice certification
- CPR/First Aid Certification
- Water Safety Certificate
Proficiencies:
- Knowledge of Title 22/Title 5, best practices and preschool educational methods
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work together with others successfully at all levels and across diverse cultures
- Must be able to bend, squat, kneel, push, pull, sit/stand for long periods and lift up to 50lbs
Pay Ranges from $16.50 - $25.00 per hour based on education and experience.
