    About the Role:
    Are you a dynamic nursing leader ready to make a significant impact on patient care and nursing services? This is your opportunity to manage and enhance the delivery of nursing services in a high-performing healthcare environment. In this role, you’ll oversee safe, patient-centered care within a 8-bed PICU department that prides itself on clinical excellence and innovation.

    As a key leader, you’ll work collaboratively to align nursing practices with organizational goals and performance metrics while fostering an environment of continuous improvement. This position offers the chance to lead with purpose, mentor a talented team, and drive strategic initiatives that enhance care quality, efficiency, and patient satisfaction.

    What You’ll Do:

    • Lead the 24/7 delivery of nursing services, ensuring the highest standards of patient care.
    • Establish and maintain care/service standards that exceed expectations in a dynamic healthcare landscape.
    • Partner with senior nursing leadership to develop and execute strategic initiatives across the continuum of care.
    • Oversee department budgets, optimize resource utilization, and identify strategies to enhance care quality while managing costs.
    • Recruit, train, and mentor nursing staff, ensuring ongoing professional development and competency.
    • Design and implement policies and processes that align with the organization’s goals and ensure regulatory compliance.
    • Drive a culture of safety, implementing standards to protect patients and staff.
    • Participate in leadership forums and committees at local, regional, and national levels to influence nursing practices and policies.

    Qualifications:

    • Required:
      • A minimum of 5 years of clinical nursing experience, with 3 years in a management or leadership role.
      • A nursing degree (BSN or MSN) from an accredited institution.
      • An active California RN license and Basic Life Support certification.
      • Proven knowledge of the Nurse Practice Act, TJC, and other regulatory requirements.
    • Preferred:
      • A master’s degree in nursing or healthcare administration.
      • National certification in a specialty area.
      • Experience in electronic medical records.
      • At least 3 years of Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) experience.
