    Job Description

    BEUMER seeking an experienced and highly motivated IT & Control Systems Specialist to oversee the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of all IT hardware, software, and control systems associated with the Baggage Handling System at San Francisco International Airport (SFO). This role is critical in ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of our state-of-the-art baggage handling operations.

    ** Responsibilities:**

    • Supervise and maintain all IT and control systems, performing both preventive and corrective maintenance as needed.
    • Manage the network connections integral to the baggage handling system.
    • Develop and implement operational procedures for IT-related activities, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.
    • Conduct thorough testing of software to ensure system integrity and functionality.
    • Monitor and troubleshoot Field-Bus systems to maintain optimal performance.
    • Collaborate with the Hotline team to resolve system issues in a timely manner.
    • Set up, configure, and deploy various software products, ensuring proper functionality within the Baggage Handling System.

    Hourly Rate: $65.04

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.

    • 3-5 years of hands-on experience in the operation and maintenance of baggage handling systems or similar automated material handling systems at the IT and Controls level.

    • Expertise in key areas such as:

    • High-Level Controls (SAC)

    • Field-Bus Systems and troubleshooting

    • SCADA Systems

    • Software Documentation

    • MS Office Suite

    • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.

    • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

    • Ability to obtain and maintain an Airside Pass (Security Clearance).

    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with competing priorities.

    • Flexible and adaptable to evolving job duties and tasks as required by the company and operational needs.
