PM Hotel Restaurant Supervisor - Holiday Inn KCI
Overview:
The Restaurant Supervisor supports the F&B Manager with all restaurant operations to ensure guests of Holiday Inn KCI Airport receive quality service when they dine with us! Previous kitchen management experience is required.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Supervise service aspects in all food and beverage assigned areas and events.
Ensure customers receive a great dining experience by acknowledging, greeting, and thanking all guests; resolve situations involving unhappy customers using de-escalation tactics.
Understand and respond to customer’s needs and ensure a high level of guest satisfaction.
Confirm that all service staff are in proper uniform and adhere to IHG appearance standards each shift.
Ensure all franchise-required training is completed for all new F&B staff within the required time frame, and validate training via written and oral testing.
Assist in the hiring process, supervision, and training of restaurant staff in accordance with IHG’s standards of quality and service.
Create, maintain, and distribute weekly staff schedules; communicate changes as necessary.
Perform weekly F&B revenue reporting, comparing “plan” to “actual”.
Conduct pre-shift, pre-meal, and/or pre-event meetings with all necessary staff members; ensure consistent communication within the department.
Create marketing/promotional plans and activities to drive top-line revenue for the F&B operations.
Monitor inventory of kitchen products and supplies; prepare and place weekly food and beverage product orders.
Ensure compliance with all local, county and state health codes, food and beverage training requirements and all liquor laws and codes, as dictated by all governing entities.
Ensure restaurant passes all franchise QA’s as well as all city, county and state Health Inspections.
Acts as manager on duty as required.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree/higher education qualification/equivalent in Hotel Management, culinary arts, or related field plus 4+ years related experience required.
1 year experience in a Restaurant/Kitchen Management role required.
Must obtain certifications or permits as required by local governmental agencies.
This is a very “hands-on” role and the qualified candidate will be able to jump in, take initiative, and maintain composure in a fast-paced environment.
