    PORT Waterfront in Greenport, NY, seeks an experienced full-time Assistant General Manager/Restaurant Manager.

    Who we are: PORT is a waterfront property on the east end of Long Island offering fresh, coastal cuisine, wine and cocktails, and excellent service in a fun waterfront environment.

    Job title:

    • Assistant General Manager

    Compensation:

    • $1350 - 1600 weekly (equates to $70-83K yearly)
    • 401K
    • Bonus Pay (performance-based)

    Schedule requirements:

    • Open availability with varying work hours
    • Holidays and weekends
    • 40-70 hours per week

    Language requirements:

    • English

    Must have experience:

    • 3+ years of FOH management experience
    • 2+ years of Bartender/Server experience in a full-service and high-volume restaurant
    • P & L management (meeting financial objectives, maintaining beverage costs, maximizing profitability)
    • Ordering & receiving, and inventory
    • Purveyor management
    • Staff training and motivation
    • Food safety knowledge (certification preferred)
    • Staff scheduling
    • Managing 15-20 people
    • Able to reach, bend, stoop, and lift 50lb
    • Able to work in a standing position
    • POS knowledgeable

    High-Level Responsibilities:

    • Build and improve upon operational systems that impact the efficiency of service, maximize revenue and covers, and ensure consistently high-quality food and beverage
    • Assist in the management of all FOH employees, including training and mentoring
    • Help create and maintain FOH team development (identify talent and nurture growth and development)
    • Help create and maintain a positive and safe work environment
