Porter
This position requires outside work year-round, servicing the portering needs of small multi-family properties.
Responsible for daily upkeep of grounds, removing litter and trash Responsible for spreading salt on public passageways to prevent ice buildup in applicable areas.
Responsible for daily upkeep of the property buildings breezeways, which includes cleaning and removing of trash Responsible for the care, maintenance, and inventory of all supplies and equipment owned by the property and/or the management company. Responsible for reporting unusual or extraordinary circumstances regarding the property or residents. Responsible for maintaining the required property uniform and ensuring a professional appearance and attitude. Responsible for courteous, efficient response at all times.
Responsible for light maintenance/ repairs Be aware of and always operate within OSHA (Occupational Safety & Health Act) standards and company Safety policies. Responsible for a thorough knowledge of management company policies and property community policies.
Other projects and responsibilities assigned by Management.
Job Specifications/Qualifications: To succeed in this job, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements below represent knowledge, skill, and/or ability.
High School Diploma or equivalent required Minimum of 1 year working in the apartment industry with related experience or training. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Knowledgeable in the use of technology smartphone, tablet Microsoft Office, Slack
Work week of 40 hours; no overtime. Benefits: Medical, dental, and vision. Paid vacation after a year of service, 401K Company plan Hourly rate: $22/hour Must hold a valid driver's license and a clean driving record
Physical requirements while performing the duties of this job include standing regularly, using hands to finger, handle, or feel, and reaching with hands and arms. The employee must frequently walk, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, hear, and taste or smell. The employee must lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
