Our team of over 200+ Community Activity Coordinators are impacting lives at more than 300 communities throughout Texas, Mississippi, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Illinois, Kansas, Virginia and Colorado, through our _Good Neighbor Program _– a creative and diverse program that provides learning enrichment, life skills and cultural diversity.

    THIS IS A DUAL ROLE JOB IN WHICH YOU WILL WORK A LIMITED AMOUNT OF HOURS IN A COMMUNITY ACTIVITY COORDINATOR CAPACITY AS WELL AS A REGIONAL COORDINATOR CAPACITY OVERSEEING A TEAM OF OTHER COMMUNITY ACTIVITY COORDINATORS. 

    Community Activity Coordinator Job Description:

    The Community Activity Coordinator facilitates the _Good Neighbor Program _for the children and their families, through a variety of activities/classes on-site, as well as marketing the program to the residents and reaching out to community partners for financial support.

    Community Activity Coordinators can expect to provide services such as but not limited to afterschool programs, scholastic tutoring sessions, recreational activities, health and nutrition resources, computer classes, social events and financial literacy classes.

    Regional Coordinator Job Description:

    Regional Coordinator  oversees and supervises a team of Community Activity Coordinators under the supervision of the Director. The RC works collaboratively with coordinators to develop and maintain a program that consistently meets outcome measures. The RC leads and coordinates efforts to schedule, train, mentor, support, monitor, and evaluate each member of their team.

    • Manage absences and related rescheduling of events • Communicate with property management according to company protocol. • Publish and maintain a weekly work schedule via Outlook Calendar • Continually monitor, evaluate and document RSC performance

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    • Design, plan, create and post monthly calendars and flyers to advertise activities and program offerings on-site.

    • Oversees program offerings and activities, recruit’s volunteers/community partners, providing resources and donations that respond to specific areas of need and serve to accomplish the organization’s mission.

    • Provide a welcoming and inviting atmosphere to all residents.

    • Enlist residents’ support and participation with program planning and activities.

    • Solicit donations and work with community partners.

    • Visit centers in assigned area for employee/program observation, onsite management meeting and site audits.

    • Ensure compliance with program requirements and needs.

    • Monitor program outcome measures; address deficiencies.

    • Implements and enforces systems, policies, and procedures.

    • Conducts training.

    • Accomplishes staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees.

    • Maintains staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees and developing personal growth opportunities.

    • Accomplishes department objectives by supervising staff and organizing and monitoring work processes.

    EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS DESIRED

    • Must be available to work a flexible schedule Monday- Friday.

    • Minimum of one-year experience in the delivery of social services with family and/or elderly population.

    • Team management experience.

    • Experience in community organization with diverse populations.

    • Relevant experience in education, social work, non-profit or a related field; Volunteer experience will be considered.

    • Experience with children, teens, adults and/or senior citizens in various capacities.

    • Must have home computer, access to email and capability to do light printing.

    • Computer Skills: High proficiency with computer applications, specifically MS Office.

    • Proper decorum regarding confidential matters.

    • Bachelor's degree or degree in progress desired.

    Work is performed primarily in the client’s community center and may occasionally be performed on evening/weekends, and in an outdoor setting during all weather conditions including temperature extremes; overnight travel as requested may be required.
