As a CNC Turning/Milling set up and production operator at your focus will be to:
- Set up to operate CNC Lathe machinery
- Set Up Operate CNC milling machinery
- Familiar with Macro programming.
- Inspect product to print, looking for any flaws and defect of material, including deburring if necessary.
- Interpret drawings, specifications, process sheets, program readouts and shop orders to plan and check work.
- Obtain proper set of tools from tool crib, select insert types, and check tools for accuracy.
- Interpret drawings, route sheets, diagrams, specifications and instructions to determine proper operation sequences.
- Make necessary calculations for tool depth and tool adjustments.
- Move completed material to next workstation.
- Maintain clean and safe work environment.
Education and Experience Requirements
- One year certificate from college or technical school preferred.
- 6 months – 1-year related experience or training.
- Ability to interpret and understand verbal and written directions.
- Mechanically inclined with strong math skills.
- Ability to read basic measuring devices, including micrometers, and calipers. Working knowledge and experienced in calculating feeds and speeds.
- Willing to complete a blueprint reading course.
