Primary Therapist
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: PRIMARY THERAPIST
The Team Lead/Primary Therapist is under the supervision of the Clinical Director. The Team Lead/Primary Therapist is responsible for daily operations. The Team Lead/Primary Therapist ensures the intakes are conducted in a timely manner and clinical schedules are maintained and accurate at all times. The primary responsibilities are expanded below:
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Facilitates group therapy sessions, individual sessions, family sessions, treatment planning and assessment activities
· Completes Biopsychosocial Assessments on all new patient admissions and annually thereafter
· Conducts Treatment Planning activities on-going
· Ensures all treatment planning activities are reflective of patient voice, choice and individualized goals
· Participates in all treatment team meetings and collaborates with other disciplines within the agency
· Demonstrates ability to use evidence-based practices in the provision of care
· Demonstrates understanding and ability to diagnosis substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders
· Conduct suicide screenings and assessments as needed to ensure appropriateness for level of care
· Conduct level of care assessments ongoing to determine appropriateness for level of care
· Provide support to administrative staff, receptionists, and medical billers and coders as needed
· Schedules appointments
· Maintains electronic medical records accurately and documents all encounters within 24 hours of service delivery
· Maintain a 60% productivity rating
· Provide education to patients and family members on the use of medications for opiod use disorder in conjunction with behavioral health counseling
· Uses the ROSC model in all aspects of service delivery and patient care
· Maintains grant reporting requirements (i.e. GPRAs, POMs tracking and other service delivery metrics and outcome measures)
· Implement office policies and procedures in accordance with TRRN mission and DCF/JC/SEFBHN standards
· Formulates objectives and processes for improved efficiency
· Provides educational material for patients and family members
· Conducts Family and Community education sessions as needed
· Maintain relationships with patients to support engagement, ensure quality care and patient satisfaction and ongoing success
· Performs outreach activities as needed
Minimum Requirements
Master’s Level Degree or Bachelor’s degree with addiction certification
At least one year of experience working in the field
Ability to pass required background checks and pre-employment screening
