Position Purpose:
Assist in providing intensive one-on-one training to individuals with disabilities employed at community employment sites.
This position is classified as PRN (as needed), meaning the schedule is based on the needs of the organization and may vary.
Primary Duties:
• Assist primary case holder during coverage shifts by providing intensive hands on, one-on-one training as the individual becomes increasingly more competent performing job requirements.
• Assist primary case holder during coverage shifts by training individuals, in competitive employment using systematic instructional techniques, compensatory strategies, job adaptation/modification and positive behavioral support techniques as needed.
• Assist primary case holder during coverage shifts by providing individualized behavioral social skills training that improves worker performance and acceptability in a community employment setting with co-workers with and without disabilities.
• Assist primary case holder during shifts in providing transportation, training and other support services necessary as needed.
• Assist primary case holder in completing, following up on job applications, and marketing employers within the community.
• Collect data and submit reports in accordance with the coverage provided.
• Assist in meeting all applicable licensing and certification requirements as they relate to the employment program by keeping accurate records of placement activities.
• Adheres to policies and procedures of VersAbility Resources.
• Operate a motor vehicle to various work sites to train individuals with disabilities.
• Provide hands-on, one-on-one training during shifts selected, and able to meet a minimum requirement of 6 shifts per month.
• Perform other duties, related to the direct support of individuals, as required.
Qualifications/Skills Knowledge & Abilities: **

Education: B.S. in Human Services preferred but not required. Supported Employment certification a plus.
