PRT is the largest producer of container grown seedlings in North America. In 2018 we celebrated our 30th anniversary and our 4 Billionth tree grown for reforestation! PRT Brighton is currently hiring Nursery Workers to assist with seedling sowing & seedling thinning for SPRING and SUMMER work! This engaging, high paced, physical position offers a safe work environment and an opportunity for a career that will make a positive change in the world. WHAT A POSITION WITH PRT OFFERS: o Hourly rates start at $13.00/hr for the training period, compensation then transfers to piece work with greater earning potential (averaging $15-$16/hr); motivated and efficient workers have no upper limit on piece earnings! o Work is available early NOW to July, with an opportunity to join other projects o No experience required; full training provided o Our PRT nurseries are vibrant and fun communities with employees who share a strong passion for the “green” nature of our business and doing their part in regenerating the forests of North America o We provide a supportive team structured environment with a strong safety culture
Qualifications
WHAT YOU NEED FOR A POSITION WITH PRT: • Energetic with attention to detail • Positive attitude and a team player • Work is meticulous and requires good eyesight and manual dexterity • You will stand for lengthy periods of time, walking, repetitive lifting, (light to medium weight objects), and perform repetitive movements • Mostly indoor greenhouse work , must be prepared to work in outdoor elements • Appropriate attire required (raingear, sunhat, sunglasses, non-slip footwear, water)
